Use it for

• Calling a pharmacy, clinic or doctor's office to renew a prescription or book an appointment
• Reserving a table, booking a service, rescheduling or cancelling an appointment
• Getting quotes from a few local service providers (plumber, movers, cleaners) and comparing them
• Dealing with a utility, telecom, bank, insurer, airline or other large company: disputes, refunds, account changes
• City, county and government offices: permits, records, appointments, status of an application
• Following up until there is an answer: waiting on hold, calling back, chasing an email that went unanswered
• Leaving a message for someone, or relaying a reply back to the owner

Not for

• Advertising, marketing, sales prospecting, surveys or any mass or bulk outreach
• Contacting people who did not expect to hear from the owner, unless there is a real personal or business reason
• Harassment, threats, debt collection pressure, impersonating the owner or anyone else, or deceiving the other side
• Anything illegal, or anything the owner could not lawfully do themselves
